Fire in Pasar Rumput Allegedly Caused by Electricity Short Circuit

Fire in Pasar Rumput, Jalan Sultan Agung, Manggis Urban Village, Setia Budi Sub-District, South Jakarta, Monday (4/28), is allegedly caused by electricity short circuit happened in a shoe store owned by Buyung on second floor of Block A.

Pasar Senen Fire Case, Police Question 6 Witnesses

After fighting with fire for 45 minutes, the firemen finally extinguished the fire and successfully prevented it from spreading to other buildings. There are no casualties reported in this incident.

“Based on shoe store owner’s statement, the loss suffered is around Rp 20-30 million. He is currently being questioned in Setia Budi Sector Police Headquarter right now,” told Head of PD Pasar Jaya Public Relations Division, Agus Lamun.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations in location, police line is installed around the burned shoe store. At this time, trading activities on second floor has yet returned to normal and many stores are still closed.
